It works well on a variety of paper textures and weights! I've already "stamped" about 20 of my books! It even showed up well on black paper! Highly recommend! The embossing is grest. Unfortunately, the font in the pattern I chose is not able to be changed. In my case, one of the letters over power the other letter by quite a bit. Looks unbalanced and the top letter gets lost visually.
